About
Mihoko
Born in Osaka and grew up in Tokyo, Mihoko started her
career in Tokyo after college as an advertising sales
representative at an English free paper called Tokyo
Classified (which is now called Metropolis)
where she learned her business skills in English/Japanese
bilingual environment. She came to America by herself
in 1998 and started a career as a marketing professional
in NY IT industry where she was in charge of developing
Japanese market. Later she moved to cosmetics/beauty industry
where she discovered there was more to life than pursuing
material gains and started to look into health and nutrition.
She went back to Japan in 2002 and worked with her friend
selling advertisements for his magazine. She also did
an event planning / production for a major cosmetic brand.
While working, she spent her free time developing whole-grain
rice-based "gluten-free products. In 2003 she
went back to NY and started a muffin company called "Mihoko'
Magnificent Muffins" The muffin became a big hit
quickly, however, her desire to eat 100% raw foods for
her health could not be fulfilled if she continued the
business, which also demanded a very hard work on her
part and an awkward sleeping schedule. So, she closed
the business and went to Ann Wigmore Natural Health Institute
in Puerto Rico, which she had always wished to do. The
decision changed her life. Now she teaches Living Food
Life Style(TM) and natural healing with live foods - doing
what she believes in and making it a career.
Since childhood, Mihoko has always been fascinated by
mystery of life. She became interested in natural healing
in her teens after reading a book by Edger Cayce. Then,
in the early 90s, she found out about Aroma Therapy,
which was just introduced to Japan and started to study
about it on her own. She recalls that one of the main
reasons why she is so attracted to natural healing is
her own mother. Her mother was a student of Noguchi Seitai,
the founding father of all Reiki movements around the
world. The young Mihoko watched people healing themselves
without drugs, which was good enough for her to know
why natural healing is the truth. Eating raw foods
for health made sense to her naturally because her
mother, a "natural born rawfoodist", has always
been the biggest lover of fruits. Her mother loves fruits
so much that she often does not eat her dinner to save
room for her favorite foods - fruits! Her mother being
the living example of health and youthfulness at any age
convinced Mihoko that humans not only could live on raw
vegetarian foods but to be healthy and beautiful forever.
