Dr.
Johann Georg Schnitzer was born on June 1, 1930 in Freiburg/Breisgau,
Germany, and grew up in St. Georgen (Black Forest). During
World War II, still at school, he acquired experience in different
professions as a precision mechanic, plumber, carpenter, gardener
and farmer. After he was awarded his Bachelor of Arts in 1950
(Villingen, Black Forest), he studied dentistry in Freiburg
(1950-1954) and acquired his doctor's degree in 1955.
Searching
for possibilities to prevent tooth decay, his main interests
concentrated on sources of natural health and the causes of
civilization's ailments and degeneration. When he discovered
that freshly ground cereals proved to be essential, he constructed
modern household grinders with milling stones.
From
1963 to 1969 Dr. Schnitzer carried out a study in a Black
Forest village, to find out if it is possible to reduce tooth
decay in children by informing the community of the relationship
between dental caries and nutrition. It is! This became well
known as "Aktion Mönchweiler". The medical
monopoly lobbies tried to stop Dr. Schnitzer from his activities
but it was well reported by the media.
In
1966 Dr. Schnitzer was called by Prof. Dr. H. A. Schweigart
to be a member of the scientific board of the International
Society for Research on Nutrition and Vital Substances. Once
he realized that man's adaptation to modern processed foods
was a failure, causing the ailments of civilization, he developed
his "Civilized Origin Nutrition", appropriate to
the original, still active genetic program of man. This healthy,
natural nutrition proved highly effective, preventing and
even curing some "incurable" ailments of civilization,
e.g. documented in the Schnitzer-Report - 4702 Persons
report about their Successes (1974; 548 pages).
In
1978 he developed a therapy for curing diabetes and preventing
it's "later consequences" (e.g. loss of sight, loss
of leg). In his opinion and by his experiences, most of about
33,000 amputations of diabetic patients in Germany could be
avoidable.
In
1985-86, he proved, in a study on leprosy, the intensive curing
efficacy of the "Civilized Origin Nutrition" on
huge leprosy ulcers, which - normally chronic and worsening
- healed up completely after only a few weeks.
In
1987 he published on "Medical Week Baden-Baden"
and in two books (one for patients, one for doctors) a causal
therapy for hypertension, curing it mostly within 6-10 weeks
completely without medicaments.
Facing growing decay and degeneration of the dentition of
his patients, he developed, in 1960, a systematical complete
clinical sanitation treatment, including cure of cariogenic
disposition (preventing further decay). In 1958 he was warning
against the application of amalgam fillings, because of chronic
poisoning danger.
In
1992, ordered by the German Government's Development Institution
on Ethiopian application, he carried out a study for the Ethiopian
Genebank in Addis Ababa on how to optimize the use of East
African food crops for a sufficient and healthy nutrition
of the population. Through this study he improved the health
value of Ethiopian bread (Enjera, made from grass seed T'eff)
and developed recipes for healthy home-made baby food.
Dr.
Schnitzer is the author of approximately 20 books and numerous
studies, essays and articles.

Diabetes
Causes & Cure
by Dr.
Johann Georg Schnitzer
$59.
Spiral
bound - 210 pages
Dr.
Schnitzer, an MD in Germany, has been treating patients for over 30
years with raw foods. He has done extensive research, and continues
to do so. Some of his books have been translated into English.
Dr. Schnitzer
asks why the knowledge available to help and cure diabetic patients
isn't used regularly? Isn't it a failure to render aid, or even a refusal
of aid when diabetics aren't informed by their physicians about this
natural, highly effective preventative and healing therapy? It can't
be because of a lack of information because in 1981, on the "Medical
Week of Baden-Baden", several cured former diabetics, including
children who had previously suffered with diabetes type 1, were introduced
to the audience of physicians. The audience could interview the patients
and the treating physician in all details.
The first edition of this book was published already in 1980. It went
through 10 unchanged German editions, with a total of 73,000 sold copies,
until it went out of print in spring 2000. Where did they go, these
73,000 copies? It's estimated at least 10 % of the readers must have
been (= 7,300) physicians. These physicians, having read the book, and
being trained in scientific thinking and medical ethics - shouldn't
they have been eager to try and recommend this completely natural, biological
method to their patients, and eager to support them in recuperating
their natural health?
Was it the
medical doctrine, maintained by so called "medical popes",
saying diabetes is incurable the reason why they didn't even try it?
Or was it fear of diverging from the "standard medical treatment"
strictly ruled by medical schools, associations and economic interests?
Or fear of
being branded an "outsider", when starting to cure the diabetic
patients, instead of submissively treating them again and again by only
correcting (elevate) the dosage of tablets or insulin?
The orthodox
"treatment" is out of control, but in case of legal consequences,
the physician is protected by the "opinion of a medical expert",
who is named to the court by the established medical community.
Take your health and fate into your own hands
The time has come for diabetics and their family members to act, to
acquire the appropriate knowledge and to develop their own, independent
opinion - and to take their health and fate into their own hands. Therefore
it's very useful to read this book.
The beginning of the 3rd millenium is an opportunity for the critical
examination of the past and present course of "modern medicine".
Why is it in crisis, and what should be its new goals? Many facets of
this crisis are pointed out - ethics and morals, tremendous costs exacted
by the medicine, and their reliability. Why aren't physicians healthier
than the population, for example?
The truth, about the curability of diabetes and its later consequences,
impacts upon considerable economic interests. In Germany alone, the
daily turnover with pills, injections and other materials for diabetics
exceeds 50 millions of US$ - not per year, not per month, but per day!
Those who acquire the knowledge in this book will be better able to
find a physician who wants to cure his patients for good. Why is a physician
needed? Mainly, to correct (lower) the dosage of the sulphonyl urea
tablets or the insulin in accordance with the lowering blood sugar level
that occurs when starting the new healthy nutrition.
