Dear
Shirley,
I'm sorry that you are confused by all the different viewpoints.
Yes, in my opinion and view all raw is the best diet... BUT not everyone wants
to do this for whatever reasons that they may have. So then, even the all raw
people or at least most of us, concede that almost all raw is still an excellent
option, especially when you compare high raw to the SAD standard American diet.
If a person is 80% raw and including a wide variety of raw food categories,
they will still achieve outstanding health for a very long time. The all raw
diet is for those who want to push the envelope of what is possible and who
are experimenting with the cutting edge of a resurgent ancient way of eating
and living.
It is true however, that some all raw food people do get themselves into trouble
sometimes. In my experience, this occurs when they refine their diet to an extreme...
they keep excluding first this food, then that one until they are down to just
a few items. I feel that this is a mistake. In my view a raw diet should include
a wide variety of foods from all categories except meat, poultry, fish and dairy.
A raw diet should include some heirloom produce and ideally some home grown
produce as well, and tree ripened fruits. The only way to get tree ripened fruits
is to grow them yourself or know someone who does and wants to share.
Whichever way you go, raw or almost all raw, it's an individual choice and it's
all good.
With blessings and peace,
Rhio
